NEVER a disappointment at Mooselook I ordered KIDS size
This is a charming, cozy restaurant with an excellent variety of menu items. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The setting is rural and quiet with some outdoor seating, just a short drive from St. Johnsbury. The food we chose - hamburger and chicken Caesar wrap were delicious. We plan to come back again sometime real soon!!
One word: PANCAKES Never have I ever had a pancake that made me go "WOW!" From the very first bite I noticed something different, delectable, mouth-watering. Bacon was great, eggs were great, but the pancakes really stood out. Every bite I took gave me just as much the thrill of the taste. It would be an understatement to say they were the best tasting pancakes I've ever had because it was more than just good taste. Every bite I took was like a celebration in my mouth. Unbelievably delicious! I thought after a while that I would get used to the taste and my taste buds would eventually settle, but every bite I took of each pancake in my plate was just as yummy as the previous. Guess what I'm ordering the next time I visit? Heck I might skip the bacon and eggs and order extra pancakes! On a side note, I noticed a cute little birdhouse. I'm told these are handmade and they are for sale. Absolutely adorable.
By far the best burger I’ve had here in Vermont/New Hampshire. I had the Texas burger topped with an onion ring, bbq and cheese. The burger was char grilled and juicy. Fries are hand cut which is rare find lately. Great diner!!
We had a large party, they easily accommodated us. The food was great, and staff was friendly. I had the Reuben- it was so delicious! I would definitely order it again. I shared an onion ring & nibbled on someone else's clam strips. I would order the clam strips next time! Clean & friendly & just good cooking! Dessert was also really yummy!
The food is delicious and affordable, with remarkably fresh coffee. The staff very friendly and efficient. In season one can eat on the patio with is relatively quiet despite the nearby roadway. Cutely decorated bathrooms, which are clean. No moose sited this time around! :)
Stopped for lunch and was nicely surprised by the bright and clean interior. We weren’t too hungry and the two of us split some onion rings and a poutine appetizer. Service was fast and efficient and our waitress was friendly and polite. All kinds of people were here including some snowmobile riders and local police and everyone seemed to enjoy the place. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Absolute favorite. Their breakfast skillets are to die for. Dog friendly patio with killer view of the River below! Highly recommended!
